It’s me, Kimolyn Ferrell, better known to some as the former owner of Fashion’s Overboard by Kimolyn, Sachet, the Wedding and Event planner of The Occasion by Kimolyn, Owner of The Spa Escape & Retreat, Director of Camp Expression and now the Founder for Dare to Dream Young Girls Network, Inc.

We at Dare to Dream Young Girls Network, Inc. have been on a mission for the past 8 years. We are out to enrich young girls in our community and need your help. We have been researching and questioning various age groups of young girls to discover that many are in need of a program to which will educate them into becoming young ladies and our future entrepreneurial leaders. We have discovered that young girls are often overlooked when it comes to teaching them how to prepare and what to expect in becoming a successful young woman. We have also learned that many of them have no fathers and if they do, many of the fathers are having a hard time connecting with their daughters emotionally. Some mothers are so young that their children are practically raising themselves. As a result, they are looking for a love in all the wrong places. The faces looking back at me are black, white, and yellow. They are rich, middle-class and low-income. There is a GIRL problem, and it is serious. We are truly afraid that if more people don’t come out and help with this sadness then our young girls of tomorrow will be in extreme trouble. As a result of our concern, we decided to establish a faith-based girls organization, Dare to Dream Young Girls Network, Inc. in January 2004.  

     Our vision is to open an all girls private faith-based boarding school in the year 2012. Our mission is to educate and empower young girls with the tools to broaden their cultural and educational experiences beyond public school opportunities. We have been dedicated to assist young girls and teens (ages 5-17) with services that will equip them to improve their quality of life by establishing self-awareness, building self-esteem, promoting sexual abstinence, providing educational enhancement support, awareness in the areas of higher education, pregnancy prevention, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) such as HIV/AIDS and successful business skills, so that each girl may have a chance to live a healthy, wholesome life and fulfill her vision and purpose. We have also noticed that a primary element of life is missing, old fashion education. Our mission is to place a strong emphasis on knowing and learning how to place prayer and the knowledge of spiritual living back into the lives of our innocent young girls. Many of these young girls are considered not your typical troubled females. These young girls are your daughters, nieces, granddaughters, and friends of your family. We are dedicated and determined to enrich the lives of many young girls each year. We at Dare to Dream Young Girls Network, Inc., know that if nothing is done, then no one succeeds to their full potential and never accomplish their dreams.
